05 Aug 2014: Ombudsman releases issues paper on Overseas Student Health Cover
The Overseas Students Ombudsman investigates complaints about the actions of private registered education providers in connection with intending, current or former overseas students.
The Overseas Students Ombudsman, Colin Neave, today released an issues paper on Overseas Student Health Cover.
The paper discusses issues initially highlighted through complaints from international students to the Overseas Students Ombudsman.
The paper makes recommendations for the Department of Education, Department of Health and the Department of Immigration and Border Control to consider, which are aimed at improving the administration of Overseas Student Health Cover from a whole-of-government perspective.
