The Commonwealth Ombudsman published a report about responses to coronial recommendations by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) in April 2015.

The Ombudsman has now prepared a guide outlining suggested administrative principles for responding to coronial recommendations for relevant agencies. This guide expands the lessons learned from the own motion investigation into CASA to government more broadly.

It aims to assist agencies participating in a coronial process to be responsive to recommendations made by a coroner in order to improve agency work.
