Immigration report 001/05
36 year old Iranian man detained for five years; with depression, PTSD and psychiatric hospitalisation. Review / courts: RRT/FC/FFC/HC/FMC. Released on a RPBV.
Ombudsman’s recommendation: Not to be detained; that a permanent visa be considered.

Immigration report 002/05
24 year old Afghani (Hazara Shi’a) man in detention for five years; with depression. Difficulty confirming his nationality. Review / courts: RRT/FC/FFC.
Ombudsman’s recommendation: That, pending a decision on a permanent visa, release be considered, on a RPBV.
